The National Business Initiative (NBI) plays a leading role in convening South African business at the annual UNFCCC Conference of the Parties (COP), providing a platform for collaboration, thought leadership and international engagement through the South Africa Pavilion. Hosted in partnership with the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment (DFFE), the Pavilion brings together business, government, labour, civil society, youth and development partners to showcase practical climate action, build strategic partnerships and promote South Africa’s contribution to the global climate agenda.

As climate change increasingly shapes investment, trade, industrial competitiveness, economic resilience and development pathways, COP provides a critical opportunity for South Africa to demonstrate leadership and accelerate implementation of a just, inclusive and resilient transition.
