Grindrod, The National Business Initiative (NBI) and Eversheds Sutherland are pleased to invite you to attend the “Inaugural “Wake-Up Call”: Demystifying the Call to Climate Action”, scheduled for 07:30am on Tuesday, the 21st of January 2020 at Grindrod, Durban.
The aim of this engagement is to “demystify” the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) Special Report on the impacts of global warming of 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels. We aim to also generate awareness on the realities of the impacts of global warming and to provide practical and realistic ways to implement change within organisations in order to attain carbon neutrality by 2050. The Alliances for Climate Action will also be presented as an example of a local solution to the global climate challenge.
We are also delighted to confirm that Dr. Debra Roberts will be our keynote input at the engagement, with further insights to be shared by Steve Nicholls of the NBI and Pascale Defroberville of Eversheds Sutherland.
