“Stakeholder engagements to inform the development of a Green Finance Taxonomy for South Africa”
Under the leadership of National Treasury, and with support from IFC (part of the World Bank Group), the National Business Initiative (NBI) and the Carbon Trust are working to develop a national Green Finance Taxonomy. This is one of the key recommendations of the Financing a Sustainable Economy draft technical paper, recently published by National Treasury.
Building on complementary initiatives and expertise in the South African market, the first national Taxonomy will be developed iteratively, informed by a series of targeted and focused stakeholder engagements.
We have the pleasure of inviting you to participate in a user-group specific workshops to inform the development of a Green Finance Taxonomy.
The objective of this consultation process is to collect your viewpoints and preferences as representatives of your respective organisations, networks, and communities of practice to inform the design, priorities and development of a first version of a Green Finance Taxonomy for South Africa.
