The Department of Environmental Affairs, The World Bank and the National Business Initiative are hosting a two-day capacity building event, focusing on Article 6 of the Paris Agreement and global trends on carbon pricing. The two days will cover the work that the World Bank has been doing on carbon pricing and competitiveness, and will describe the importance of article 6 and its implications for business. It will also share experiences in carbon offset schemes and deal with the key political issues and expectations that could influence article 6. This is a by invitation only event for NBI Member companies and will take place over 2 days – 29 to 30 May 2019.
