SUMMARY:Member Only Invitation - NBI Membership Council 2026
DESCRIPTION:Following our recent Preparers Cluster engagement on the future of sustainability reporting in South Africa\, the National Business Initiative (NBI)\, co-hosted by Nedbank and in collaboration with the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC)\, is pleased to invite you to a Pre-Gazette Preparers Roundtable taking place on Monday\, 26 October 2026\, at Nedbank Sandton. \nAs South Africa’s sustainability reporting adoption process moves towards the publication of the proposed framework and roadmap\, it is important that preparers have an opportunity to engage on the practical implications of implementation. \nThis roundtable will bring preparers into direct conversation with CIPC and the dtic ahead of the anticipated Gazette process\, providing an important opportunity to understand what is being proposed\, consider organisational readiness and raise practical implementation issues before the next phase of the process. \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n\n \n \n The session will focus on: \n \n\n\n\n\n \n \nAn update on the proposed sustainability reporting adoption framework and roadmap;\nThe anticipated process and next steps following publication;\nKey implementation considerations and areas of readiness for preparers;\nPractical challenges relating to data\, resources\, systems and reporting capacity; and\n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n The discussion intends to build on the insights and feedback received during the previous Preparers Cluster engagement and continue the dialogue between CIPC\, the dtic and the preparer community on what will be required to support effective implementation. \nGiven the strong participation in our previous session\, both in-person and online attendance will be available.
