Last week on 27 February 2019, the NBI and Brand South Africa hosted an event in Johannesburg at the Brand SA Houghton offices. This engagement explored the South African economy through the eyes of the investor and shared information, including on-the-ground experiences of doing business in South Africa. The event, attended by prominent NBI members companies was extremely well received with active engagement. Brand SA’s GM for Research, Dr. Petrus de Kock presented on investor perception findings and the growing confidence of South Africans. He shared findings from Brand SA’s international investor perspective’s research and the implications for SA’s business community, stating that regional peace and security is a key element of building international confidence. Negative perceptions around the country need to be addressed in order to build stakeholder and investor confidence. This event is also to be held in KwaZulu-Natal and Cape Town in April 2019.
