Launch of the WeDare GBV Repository for the Private Sector
September 3 @ 11:00 am - 1:15 pm
Dear Valued Stakeholder,
The National Business Initiative (NBI), in partnership with the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) and Nottingham Trent University (NTU), is delighted to invite you to the online launch of the WeDare Network GBV Repository for the Private Sector. The WeDare Network is an international, multi-stakeholder and interdisciplinary network that aims to facilitate catalytic partnerships and provide innovative approaches to address the scourge of Gender-Based Violence (GBV).
Over the past two years the network has been instrumental in developing a knowledge platform called the WeDare GBV Repository – an information platform that is accessible and unapologetic about confronting GBV in South Africa. The Repository is a pioneering digital platform designed to amplify learning, share innovative information and build collective action on GBV prevention, response and strategies in the private sector.
The launch will introduce the platform’s purpose, demonstrate how to contribute content using practical tools and spotlight powerful case studies and multimedia from our first cohort of company champions.
It will also provide an opportunity to connect with fellow champions, organisations and changemakers to leverage a sense of urgency and harness bold ideas that challenge the status quo through collective activism to confront GBV.
What to expect
A live reveal and walkthrough of the WeDare GBV Repository.
A panel discussion featuring case studies from our first cohort of companies sharing what it took to disrupt GBV in their respective organisations.
An open call for contributions – your organisation’s story could be next!
Join us as we unite voices, share stories and catalyse action!
