High-Level Roundtable – Social Justice for Business: Framing Inclusion and Economic Participation
May 28 @ 8:30 am - 10:40 pm
The National Business Initiative (NBI) in partnership with the Social Justice Initiative (SJI), is pleased to invite you to attend a high-level roundtable discussion titled: Social Justice for Business: Framing Inclusion & Economic Participation.
This curated session will bring together leaders from business, civil society and academia to engage in a bold, constructive dialogue on what it will take to achieve meaningful and inclusive economic growth in South Africa and how the private sector can play a meaningful role in addressing systemic challenges such as inequality and unemployment, which continue to constrain South Africa’s overall economic potential.
Why Social Justice and the Private Sector?
Economic participation is not just a social imperative. It is fundamental to business sustainability, social cohesion and democratic resilience.
Based on this understanding, the roundtable will explore:
Addressing structural barriers: How the private sector can actively advance equality and equity by addressing the structural and systemic drivers of inequality, unemployment and exclusion.
Driving economic growth: Why economic participation and inclusion are strategic growth levers for South Africa.
The case for social justice investment: How targeted social justice funding delivers measurable economic and social returns for the business sector.
We hope that you will be able to join us for this impactful conversation and look forward to hosting you.
