The Energy Efficiency in Public Buildings and Infrastructure Programme (EEPBIP) will host an awareness-raising and match-making networking session for Energy Services Companies (ESCOs).
It provides technical assistance to public sector institutions to implement energy efficiency projects through the Energy Performance Contracting (EnPC) model to leverage private finance.
The programme has access to the Partial Credit Guarantee (PCG) that is managed by the Industrial Development Cooperation (IDC). With this financial model, the public sector institutions will contract the Energy Services Companies (ESCos) to implement energy efficiency projects, which will be paid for from the resultant savings arising out of the benefits.
This workshop aims to engage the ESCos by applying the financial model and leveraging the existing project pipeline within the programme. Furthermore, an opportunity will be afforded to the ESCos to engage amongst themselves and to leverage off each other’s strengths, for bigger impact and growth.
